The perfect moped picnic

Moped ride and picnic are combined in a very nice way on this route. The trip goes from Skaven Strand and through Bork, where you can make the first stop on the trip and enjoy a little refreshment at the small harbour.

 

From Bork, the route goes out past Bork Vikingehavn before continuing towards Nymindegab. On the way to Nymindegab, you can slip past the 'Tipperne' and see the beautiful nature, if the time alows you.

 

When you get to Nymindegab, you drive past Local Food and pick up a picnic basket, which consists of a delicious sandwich with cheese and ham produced from good local food producers, a cake and a local beer or apple cider to wash itall down with.

 

The whole basket can either be enjoyed at Local Food in their authentic premises, or at the beautiful view over the dunes and lakes at the edge of Nymindegab.

The picnic basket - Specially made for moped guests

In collaboration with Local Food, we have put together a picnic basket that fits right into the iconic Tomos Tours wood box, so you can take the basket with you on your trip if you want to enjoy it outside by the beautiful view at Nymindegab.

 

The picnic basket contains:

 

1 Sandwich

Sandwiches are made with sea salt-cured ham that is smoked over beech wood and matured for at least 8 months. The cheese is aged for at least 4 months and has a sweet and nutty aroma. In addition, there is homemade pesto and aioli in the sandwich topped with some home-pickled red onions. Everything is produced and made by local food producers in Ringkøbing-Skjern and Varde municipality.

 

1 Cake

The cake is a delicious little thing to, and you can taste the craftsmanship in the cake.

 

1 Local beer or apple cider

To quench your thirst, you can either choose a local beer or a local apple cider. Local Food has 8 local beer producers, therefore it will vary where the lager comes from.​

The route to Nymindegab offers beautiful scenery and a pleasant detour past Bork Havn, with opportunities for a little refreshment before enjoying the picnic basket at Nymindegab.

Route back from Nymindegab

The route here goes from Nymindegab to Skaven, and can be used when you have to return from Nymindegab.

Get answers if you have any questions

What should we do if we cannot start the moped?
Call +45 40 59 96 10 on weekdays and +45 40 43 24 95 on weekends, and we will come and solve it on the spot. If this is not possible, we will replace the moped with a new one, so that you can continue the trip.
How many mopeds can we rent?
Right now we have 30 mopeds available, and we always want to have a few in reserve in case, one of the mopeds needs to be replaced along the way. Feel free to contact us if you need more, and we'll see if we can solve it.
Where does the tour start?
You start at Skavenvej 26, 6880 Tarm. If you have a special event where you want a different starting point, contact us and we'll see what can be done.
Where does the tour end?
Normally the mopeds must be delivered to Skavenvej 26, 6880 Tarm. But if you wish to finish somewhere else, contact us, and we will figure out what is possible.
Do we have to pay a deposit?
We have decided that you do not have to pay a deposit, as long as there is no need for it. The only thing we require, if you rent our mopeds, is that we must have a photo of your driver's license. If damage occurs during the drive, we can claim up to DKK 2.500 to repair the damage, depending on the extent of the damage.
How old do you have to be to rent a moped?
You must have one person in the group who is at least 21 years old. The rest must be at least 15 years old and have a valid moped driving license or a valid car driving license.
Where can we drive to?
This route is composed so that you drive through Bork and out to Nymindegab, after which the trip goes back from there. If you have time and desire, you can stick out past 'Tipperne' on the road.
What if the weather is bad on the day we have booked?
We have a weather guarantee. If the weather forecast (yr.no) promises more than 10 m/s or more than 4 mm of precipitation on the day and during the period you have rented the mopeds, you have the option to move your booking to another date.
Is it more fun than do it on bicycle?
Yes, we think so :-)
