Deposit and coverage of damages

We do NOT charge a deposit before your trip starts.

 

But if, contrary to expectations, damage has occurred to the moped when it is returned, we can charge up to 470 Euro to repair the damage.

 

The amount is determined by Tomos Tours, and is based on an estimated material and time consumption to repair the damage.

 

The amount to cover the damage is paid when the moped is delivered to us or collected by us.

 

 

Minimum age

There must be at least one person in the group who is 21 years old. The rest must be at least 15 years old and have a valid moped driver's license or a valid car driver's license.

 

 

Driving license

To drive a moped, you must either be 15 years old and have a valid moped driver's license, or be 18 and have a valid driving license for a car or motorcycle.

 

If you turned 18 before 19^th of January 2013, it is legal to drive a moped without a moped driver's license or other driver's license for e.g. car or motorcycle. That means you must have been born before January 19, 1995, to have that right.

 

 

Liability insurance

All our mopeds are legally insured for rental purposes.

 

If an accident occurs, the damage will therefore be covered by the liability insurance if damage is caused to other people, animals or things.

 

However, any damage to the driver will not be covered. It is the driver's own responsibility to ensure that they have valid accident and healt insurance.

 

 

Alcohol limit

The alcohol limit for driving a moped is 0.5, like in a car.

 

 

Identification

Before the rental of our mopeds, we must ask for a photo of your driving license and a signature on our rental contract.

 

The picture together with the contract will be stored in a locked cabinet and subsequently shredded when the mopeds have been handed over and approved.

 

 

Driving routes

There are some paths around Ringkøbing Fjord which are only intended for pedestrians and cyclists. Although they may be tempting to drive on, we would advise you not to do so. For the obvious reason that it is illegal, and because it can create unnecessary complaints from people in the area who use the paths to walk or cycle and they must of course be allowed to be here. :-)

 

 

Payment

Payment can be made on the day, just before departure via card payment. For larger events, payment can be collected before the event via invoice. Company events can be paid for via invoice.

 

 

Cancellation

An event may well be canceled due to illness and very bad weather. In such situation, nothing will be charged in case of cancellation, unless it is a case of no-show or cancellation within 24 hours before departure. In this case, we may charge 50% of the total price for the event.
