Financial Liability

We do not charge a deposit at the start of your tour.

At the commencement of the rental, the renter confirms that the moped has been received in good and safe technical condition. If the moped is returned with damages beyond ordinary wear and tear, we will charge a fee for repairs:

A fee of up to 3,500 DKK per damaged moped may be charged.

The amount is determined by Tomos Tours based on an estimate of material costs and labor required for the repair.Payment for damages must be settled immediately upon returning the moped or upon collection by us.

 

Insurance and personal liability

All our mopeds carry the mandatory third-party liability insurance for rental use.

Third Party: The insurance covers damages caused to other persons, animals, or property in the event of an accident.

Personal Risk: The insurance does not cover injuries to the rider or damage to the rented moped.

Personal Accident Insurance: It is the rider's own responsibility and risk to be covered by valid personal accident insurance. We strongly recommend that all participants ensure their private insurance covers moped riding.

Health: By riding, the renter confirms being physically and mentally fit to operate the vehicle safely and is not under the influence of medication marked with a red warning triangle.

 

Legislation and alcohol limit

Riding must be conducted in accordance with the Danish Road Traffic Act.Alcohol Limit: The legal limit is 0.5 per mille.Voiding of Coverage: All insurance coverage is void if the rider is under the influence of alcohol (above 0.5 per mille), narcotics, or exhibits grossly negligent behavior (e.g., racing, doing wheelies, or riding off-road/outside designated roads). In such cases, the renter is personally liable for any compensation claims.

 

Driver's License and Identification

It is the renter's responsibility to present valid documentation to the police upon request.Requirements: Riders must be at least 15 years old with a valid moped license, or 18 years old with a valid car license.

Exception: If you were born before January 19, 1995, you may ride the moped without a license.Group Responsibility: There must be at least one person aged 21 or older present in every group.

 

Routes and Etiquette

We wish to take good care of our local area and neighbors.It is strictly forbidden to ride on paths reserved for pedestrians and cyclists.Please respect the signage around Ringkøbing Fjord – this ensures that we can continue to send happy guests out on tours.

 

Payment

Payment is made either via the booking system or on the day of departure via card payment. For larger events or corporate bookings, payment via invoice can be arranged by prior agreement.

 

Cancellation

General

Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail to info@tomotours.dk.

 

In case of no-show without cancellation, the full amount will always be charged.

 

In case of bad weather, the tour can always be rebooked, and our cancellation conditions are waived. Our main rule is that there must be more than 10 m/s average wind or more than 4 mm of precipitation during the period you are going to ride before the 10/4 weather guarantee comes into effect.

 

When canceling a route with food, we may have to charge for the food. This is because our partners may have reserved a place or prepared something especially for you. In such cases, I can of course still get the food, but the moped tour may not take place.

 

Groups of 2–5 people

More than 14 days before: No payment.

14–7 days before: 50% of the agreed amount.

7–1 day before: 75% of the agreed amount.

Less than 24 hours before: 100% of the agreed amount.

 

Groups of 6–12 people

More than 21 days before: No payment.

21–15 days before: 40% of the agreed amount.

14–8 days before: 60% of the agreed amount.

7–1 day before: 80% of the agreed amount.

Less than 24 hours before: 100% of the agreed amount.

 

Groups of 13–25 people

More than 30 days before: No payment.

30–15 days before: 50% of the agreed amount.

14–8 days before: 70% of the agreed amount.

7–1 day before: 90% of the agreed amount.

Less than 24 hours before: 100% of the agreed amount.

 

Groups of 26 people or more

More than 45 days before: No payment.

45–31 days before: 35% of the agreed amount.

30–15 days before: 50% of the agreed amount.

14–8 days before: 70% of the agreed amount.

7–1 day before: 90% of the agreed amount.

Less than 24 hours before: 100% of the agreed amount.

 

 

Reduction in number of participants

General

Final number of participants must be announced within the deadlines stated below.

 

Groups of 2–5 people (original booking number)

More than 7 days before: Fri reduction.

Less than 7 days before: The originally confirmed number minus up to 1 person will be invoiced.

 

Groups of 6–12 people (original booking number)

More than 14 days before: Reduction of up to 2 people accepted without charge.

Less than 14 days before: The originally confirmed number minus up to 2 people will be invoiced.

 

Groups of 13–25 people (original booking number)

More than 21 days before: Reduction of up to 15% will be accepted without charge.

Less than 21 days before: Billing will be for the originally confirmed number minus up to 15% of the participants.

 

Groups of 26 people or more (original booking number)

More than 30 days before: Reduction of up to 15% accepted without any costs.

Less than 30 days before: Billing will be for the originally confirmed number minus up to 15% of the participants.
