Most asked questions - find the answers below

What should we do if we can't start the moped?

Call +45 40 43 24 95 and we will bring you a new moped.

How many mopeds can we rent?

You can rent up to 45 mopeds at a time, and we always have some mopeds in reserve in case something breaks. Please contact us if you need more and we will see if we can solve it.

Where does the tour start?

You start at Skavenvej 26, 6880 Tarm. If you have a special event where you want a different starting point, please contact us and we will see if it is possible.

Where does the tour end?

As a general rule, mopeds should be dropped off at Skavenvej 26, 6880 Tarm. However, if you would like to drop off somewhere else, please contact us to make an appointment.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We have chosen not to pay a deposit as long as it is not necessary. However, if damage occurs during the trip, we may charge up to DKK 3,500 to repair the damage, depending on the extent of the damage.

How old do you have to be to rent a moped?

With us, you must have one person in the group who is at least 21 years old. The rest must be at least 15 years old and have a valid moped license or a valid car license.

Where can we drive?

We have created different routes, some with meals included and others without. You can also rent the mopeds on an hourly basis. So in principle you can ride wherever you want.

What if the weather is bad on the day we booked?

We have a weather guarantee. If the weather forecast (yr.no) promises more than 10 m/s in average wind or more than 4 mm of precipitation on the day during the period you have rented the mopeds, you have the option to move your booking to another date.

What if you are over 18 years and do not have a driving license for a car or moped?

If you were born before January 1st, 1995, you may drive a moped 30 without a driver's license.

If you were born after January 1, 1995, you must have a moped driving license (AM driving license) - regardless of age.

Is it more fun than cycling around?

Yes, we would think so :-)

"Everyone should have the opportunity to experience the fun and nostalgia of going on a moped ride, regardless of whether you can figure out the mechanics or not. Should problems arise with the mechanics along the way, we will come and help so that you can continue on the ride. "
- Kristoffer, Tomos Tours

Take a tour on an old Tomos moped Take a tour on an old Tomos moped

Take a tour on an old Tomos moped

Tomos Tours started with a passion for old mopeds and unique experiences. When you travel on an old moped in our beautiful nature along Ringkøbing Fjord, some memorable moments arise. There is an immediate freedom and for some a nostalgic feeling when you step on the kickstarter and just roll away at a light speed, with a smile on your face.

Well, what is a Tomos? You probably know the popular Puch Maxi - most people do. We think there is a lack of an alternative to the Puch, even though it is an iconic moped, and it of course deserves all the attention it gets. But here at Tomos Tours we have chosen to support the Tomos moped because we also think it deserves to be more widely used.

The two mopeds are actually not far apart. The first Tomos were actually produced under license from Puch. They received the license in 1954, and this gave them the opportunity to produce some of Puch's models under the Tomos name - first motorcycles, later mopeds, which became their greatest success. Tomos is therefore also a further developed product of Puch, and it has therefore also been made with 2 automatic transmissions, some even with electric start, front and rear suspension. Yes, let's be honest, it is probably a bit of a "luxury model". But who wouldn't want to choose the "luxury" option when it offers itself.

And yes, Tomos has proven to be the most solid moped based on the experience we have from numerous moped rides around the country with various moped brands.

Petrol is not just petrol

At Tomos Tours all our mopeds are running on Aspen - for the simple reason that it is a 'no-brainer'. This is because:

  • Aspen gives a cleaner combustion. It is good for you, me, the moped and the environment.
  • Aspen lasts longer than regular petrol, so we are free from having to drain old petrol because it has lost its effect.
  • We also avoid the mixture becoming too "rich" and the moped smelling like a chimney. Passers-by are happy about that ;-)
